Is the cost for services covered by my health plan?

Depending on your coverage and the services required, some of the costs may be covered by your Extended health plan. You will have to ask your health plan provider for details.

Can I pick the services I want?

Yes, you certainly can pick and choose the services that you want. You are the customer and you tell us what to do!

Are your employees insured and bonded?

Yes, for your peace of mind , our caregivers are :Insured, bonded, undergo criminal record check and are covered by the Worker’s Compensation Board.

Do I get to pick the person looking after me?

Yes, if you do not like the match we made you can help us in finding a better employee match.

Are all your employees nurses?

Some are Registered Nurse, LPN, some are designated health professionals and some are trained caregivers. We match the employee’s training to best fit your needs.

Are your employees trained?

Yes, most of our employees have specific training in a health discipline or have been trained internally through the Safe Care Home Support training program. Our employees are encouraged to continue their education and training throughout their employment with us.

What happens if my caregive gets sick?

You have a choice of cancelling the appointment or allowing us to send a replacement caregiver.

Is YOUR COMPANY service only available in the home?

No, we can provide our services to you whether you live at home or a senior’s complex or health care facility.

What are In-Home Assessments?

Non-medical Assessments are conducted to find clients’ functioning capabilities, to identify their needs, and to determine what services are required to assist them attain and maintain optimum independence.

Nursing Assessments are an expanded version of the Non-medical Assessment as they more thoroughly examine and identify health conditions, levels of care required, and appropriate medical interventions. If indicated, coordination of care with other health professionals can be arranged.

In both situations, assessors may review subsidization possibilities, develop Care Plans, make referrals, and arrange for Service Delivery Schedules according to the clients’ wishes.

Who can obtain services?

Certain segments of the population will find our services especially beneficial such as people who are frail; elderly; housebound; terminally, chronically, or acutely ill; physically or mentally challenged; recently discharged from hospital; family caregivers; and accident victims.

Our services are available to private citizens and a wide range of agencies, institutes, corporations, groups, and governments including ICBC, WCB, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Human Resources, Veterans Affairs, Health Canada, Indian Affairs, and the Public.

When are services available?

Help is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to conform to clients’ needs and preferences.

Where are services available?

We service the Lower Mainland. If a need arises, we will strive to accommodate anyone who requires service outside this geographical area.

How are costs determined?

Yes, for your peace of mind, our caregivers are insured, bonded, undergo criminal record check and are covered by the worker’s compensation Board.

There are no costs for “non-medical” assessments but charges may be levied for “nursing” assessments. In some situations, mileage fees are applicable. Costs are worked out and discussed with clients prior to commencement of service.

What are your office hours?

Office Hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On call Nurse or Client coordinator available 24 hours a day and 7 days week to answer all clients and caregivers concern we can give prompt attention to requests for immediate assistance.
