New Cognitive Wellness Day Program Location Opens in Surrey to Support Adults with Cognitive Challenges and Provide Respite for Family Caregivers
Surrey, BC – The Adult Cognitive Wellness Centre (ACWC), in partnership with Chartwell Camellia, is excited to announce the opening of a new Cognitive Wellness Day Program location in Surrey. This program is designed to enhance the lives of older adults experiencing mild to moderate cognitive impairment while offering much-needed respite for family caregivers.
Launching on Tuesdays from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm at 10928 132 Street, Surrey, BC, the Cognitive Wellness Day Program is tailored to create a supportive, engaging environment for participants. Through structured, cognitively stimulating group activities, the program aims to reduce social isolation and promote mental well-being. Family caregivers can find relief knowing their loved ones are in a safe, caring setting while enjoying time to rest and recharge.
To introduce the community to this valuable resource, ACWC is offering a free half-day trial for interested participants. This unique opportunity allows families to experience firsthand the benefits of the program and the compassionate support provided by our trained professionals.
“We are thrilled to bring this program to Surrey in collaboration with Chartwell Camellia. Our mission is to create a nurturing space where older adults feel connected, stimulated, and empowered, while caregivers gain essential support,” said Massi Bakhshian, Program Director at ACWC.
This new location underscores the Adult Cognitive Wellness Centre’s commitment to delivering accessible cognitive care and caregiver respite across the region. Families interested in learning more or registering for the program can contact us at 778-549-6413 or email info@AdultCognitiveWellnessCentre.ca.
